We appreciate everyone traveling in to California and San Luis Obispo. Below are some recommendations for how to get here, get around and where to stay. There are many choices pending what you are looking for!
PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES
Flying:
SLO County Airport (SBP) - lands you right in town!
Santa Maria Airport (SMX) - 45 min drive to SLO
Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) - 1.5 hour drive to SLO
Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) - 3 hour drive to SLO
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) - 4 hour drive to SLO
San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) - 4 hour drive to SLO
Train Travel:
Amtrak provides service to San Luis Obispo (SLO) via two routes: the Coast Starlight, which runs between Seattle and Los Angeles, and the Pacific Surfliner, which runs along the Southern California coast.
Driving:
If you're driving into town, San Luis Obispo is accessible via scenic routes like the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1) to faster inland freeways (the 101 and 227). With a car, you're able to explore the greater central coast area with ease, please check out our "Things to Do" page for more information.
HOW TO GET AROUND
SLO is a manageable city to drive in as a guest. Most hotels offered below have parking available. Our wedding venue also has ample parking for anyone self driving. If you party it up and decide to hitch a ride home, vehicles may be left in the parking lot overnight following the reception. No trailers may be parked on the venue site (yes, we checked!).
Ubers are easy to get around the SLO area and able to smoothly drop off and pickup at our venue, La Lomita Ranch.
If you've heard about the Old SLO Trolley, it's an easy way to hop around downtown!
